I stumbled across a story that might make you wonder if you could ever get famous by riding the bus. Maybe some of you have seen a video of a lady dancing at a bus stop. If you haven’t here it is.
Her name is Ellie Cole and she now has a role in a play at The Point Theatre in Eastleigh, Hampshire. A writer saw her bus stop dance video and the rest is history. A really neat part of the story is that Ellie used to study performing arts at Eastleigh College but had to stop because she couldn’t afford it. But now, she’s on the stage.
Ellie said, “It’s very flattering and humbling. There’s no doubt it’s very exciting.” She went on to say, “I’m just a normal everyday person who happens to like dancing at bus stops. Still to this day I find it hard to believe what happened with the video. It’s like ‘wow, why me?'”
Oh, and she wasn’t listening to “Dancing Queen.” She had her headphones in and was listening to “Knock Down” by Alesha Dixon.
So, have fun dancing at the bus stop. You never know what might happen.
